Movement of Residents From Murray Center Remains on Hold, Despite Court Ruling

Don't expect to see the Illinois Department of Human Services to rush in and close Murray Development Center in Centralia now that a federal court judge has ruled against an injunction that would have forced the state to keep the facility open during the on-going legal battle over the center's future.  

Salem Woman Wins Second 4H Showmanship Award

The winner of this year's 4-H Super Showmanship Award is Rhiannon Branch of Iuka.  Branch won out in a close competition in showing beef, swine, and sheep on Sunday after winning the beef showmanship award on Saturday.
