2017 04/01 - Robert L. 'Bob Gold' Goldsborough, Senior

Robert L. "Bob Gold" Goldsborough Sr., age 87, of Sante Fe, New Mexico and formerly of Salem, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family March 23, 2017. With a golden voice to last the ages, Bob had an early start in broadcasting that led to a career in politics and consulting. His personal efforts led to the passage of the first New Mexico Lottery Bill and he had a run for Governor which he cynically referred to as more of a "walk". He spent his retirement enjoying the backyard birds with his favorite bird of 65 years, Doris, and enjoying the best tastes of everything Santa Fe had to offer.

Services for 'Bob Gold' Goldsborough, Senior will be held Saturday, April 1, at 1pm. St Bede's Episcopal Church. 1601 S. St Francis Drive in Sante Fe, New Mexico.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Doris Jean; his sister, Margaret and her family; his children, Pam, Debbie and Bobby, and his grandchildren, Geraldo, Daniel, Elisa, Emily, Taekwun, and Grace.

Bob Goldsborough, Senior was born May 13, 1930 in West Frankfurt, Illinois to H.R. Goldsborough and Beatrice E. Stokes Goldsborough.
