Warriors ride Durant's 40 to win over KD's old team

UNDATED (AP) - Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook shared a basketball court last night for just the second time since they were separated last summer. Durant's Golden State Warriors got the better of Westbrook's Oklahoma City Thunder once again.

Durant poured in 40 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as the Warriors beat the Thunder, 121-100 to improve to an NBA-best 36-6. Durant topped the 39-points he scored in his first game against his ex-team, a 26-point rout at Oklahoma City on Nov. 3.

Westbrook posted his league-high 21st triple-double of the season, finishing with 27 points, 15 boards and 13 assists. He managed 20 points on 4 of 15 shooting in his first game against Durant.

Stephen Curry added 24 points and eight assists to the rout.

  • James Harden contributed 38 points, eight assists and six rebounds as the Houston Rockets thumped Milwaukee, 111-92. Eric Gordon led Houston's long range attack by shooting 7-for-17 from 3-point range to finish with 25 points.

  • The 76ers made it seven wins in nine games as Joel Embiid scored 26 points and Ersan Ilyasova added 18 in a 94-89 win against the Atlantic Division-leading Toronto Raptors. Embiid scored at least 20 for the 10th straight game after being questionable for Wednesday's contest because of the flu.

  • The Knicks had dropped 11 of 13 before Derrick Rose matched his season high with 30 points to lead a 117-106 win over the Celtics in New York. Mindaugas Kuzminskas and Willy Hernangomez each scored 17 points to help the Knicks overcome a game-high 39 points by Isaiah Thomas.

  • Reggie Jackson delivered 26 points and Tobias Harris added 19 in Detroit's 118-95 laugher over Atlanta. The Hawks trailed 42-18 after one quarter before falling for just the second time in 11 games. After the game, the Hawks acquired guard Mo Williams from Denver for the rights to Cenk Akyol and a $2.2 million player exception.

  • Indiana trailed by 22 in the first half before storming back to beat Sacramento, 106-100. Paul George topped the Pacers with 24 points, while Jeff Teague added 22, 11 assists and seven boards to the win.

  • The Wizards earned their 13th straight home win behind John Wall's 25 points and 13 assists in a 104-101 decision over Memphis. Otto Porter also had 25 points and Markieff Morris added 17 and 12 rebounds as the Wizards improved to 18-6 in Washington compared to a 4-13 mark on the road.

  • Kemba Walker scored 23 points and the Charlotte Hornets ended a five-game losing streak by slamming Portland, 107-85. Nicolas Batum added 17 points and Roy Hibbert had 16 for the Hornets, who limited the Trail Blazers to 35 percent shooting after allowing at least 100 points in eight straight games.

  • The Pelicans enjoyed an easy win as Anthony Davis had 21 points and 15 rebounds in a 118-98 clobbering of Orlando. Tyreke Evans and Langston Galloway added 18 points apiece against the Magic, who went 1-5 on their six-game road trip.
