Steven Ferdman/Getty ImagesTool guitarist Adam Jones has dropped another nugget of info about the band's long-awaited new album.

According to an Instagram post from Jones, the group will be working with producer Joe Barresi, who was the engineer on Tool's most recent effort, 2006's 10,000 Days.

Barresi has produced albums for Queens of the Stone Age, Coheed and Cambria, Avenged Sevenfold and Chevelle.

In an Instagram post earlier this week, Jones previously hinted that Tool had entered the recording studio. Along with bassist Justin Chancellor and drummer Danny Carey, Jones has been writing the instrumentals for the much-anticipated album, while frontman Maynard James Keenan has been working on lyrics.

Late last year, Carey said that the new album will be released sometime in 2018. Whether or not that turns out to be true -- we've heard similar unfilled promises in the past -- you'll definitely be able to listen to Keenan on A Perfect Circle's new album Eat the Elephant, which will be released April 20.
