The “Bounce Back” rapper received the key to the city Saturday.  He was cited for uplifting Detroit youth with the work of his Sean Anderson Foundation.

“Thank you Mayor Duggan for the Key to the City of Detroit,” Big Sean tweeted. “I know how big of an honor this is.” He added, “For the city! The youngest to receive this honor. Last people to get this were Berry Gordy n Stevie Wonder! Key to the City of Detroit!”

The mayor was full of praise for the two-time BET Award-winner, tweeting, “The work that @BigSean is doing with his foundation is inspiring Detroit youth to achieve their dreams.”

Following the ceremony, Sean continued his 'I Decided Tour," headlining a concert Saturday night at the Fox Theatre in Detroit.
