  • Sandoval jumped out to a 13-0 lead and ran away from North Clay 35-13 in middle school girls basketball. Nevaeh Andrews had 9 to lead Sandoval and Jillian Heinzmann added 8. In the JV game, Sandoval ran out to a 10-0 lead as they got 15 from Kailynn Kreup in a 32-18 win.

  • The Salem Lady Wildcats 2017 Thanksgiving Tournament gets underway tonight. The Round Robin format will begin at 6pm with Centralia and Highland followed by Salem and Belleville Althoff at 7:30. Salem will rely early on their senior trio of Trinity Meadows, Kasey Sager and Katilyn Maxey. Their opponent tonight, Althoff, won the South 7 last season and finished 20-10 but lost to Mater Dei in the regional championship. You can listen to the Lady Cats on Q92, AM 1350 and WJBDradio.com.

  • Last night, the KC Blue Devils opened up GRAC play with an 85-80 win over Olney Central College. Logan Kohrmann scored 25 to lead KC, Jamal Thomas added 20, Justin Shaw finished with 16 and Jaylen Johnson 14. Josiah Wallace had 24 to lead Olney. KC will play at Fontbonne University tomorrow night at 5:30.

  • Franklin Park Lady Bobcats fell to Olney 55-16. Katelyn Biegeleisan led Salem with 11 points, Avery Bass added 4 and Kayla Shoemaker had a point. Salem fell in the JV game 16-12. Maya Susmena had 4 points, Jillian Green and Alexis Moats had 4 rebounds each.

  • Sandoval started off their girls high school season with a 52-36 win at Ramsey. Desiree Hammer had 27 points in the win. Jalynn Day added 12. Zoie Wilkins started off her senior season with a double double pulling down 11 rebounds and scoring 11 points. Sandoval plays at Dieterich next Monday, then begins the CHBC Thanksgiving Tournament next Tuesday.
