Franklin Park Dominates Future Wildcats Meet
Boys & Girls Come Home With Titles

The Franklin Park boys and girls swept the titles at this year’s Future Wildcat Meet held at SCHS Jim Finks Field. The Bobcats scored 142 points easily distancing themselves from 2nd place Raccoon with 52, Selmaville was 3rd with 35 followed by Iuka with 23.

Finishing first for Franklin Park was Isaac Adams in the Shot, Brandon Powell won the high jump and 8th grade 100. Creed Phillips was a double winner in the hurdles and 400m. Haddon Lybarger won the 1600 and 800. Aden Susema was the champ in the 6th grade 100 while Caden Bee won the 7th grade 100 and the 200.

Salem also won the 7th grade 4x200, 8th grade 4x100, 6th grade 4x100 and the 4x400 relays.

The Lady Bobcats also easily won their event scoring 118 points followed by Raccoon with 50, Selmaville 38 and Iuka with 30.

Avery Bass won the long jump and hurdles, Katelyn Biegeleisen won the high jump, Lindsey Keen the 400, Tayah Cape the 6th grade 100, Marissa Holland the 7th grade 100 and Taylor Allen the 8th grade 100. Alayna Williams won the 800m.

Also winning were the 4x100, 4x200, 4x400 and 6th grade 4x100 relay teams.

Today in prep track, the Salem Wildcats will compete at the Mascoutah Invitational while the Lady Cats join Mt Vernon at the Marion Invite.

Also in boys track, Centralia is at the Mattoon Relays. Nashville joins Vandalia at the Greenville Relays.
