Marion County Fair Board Reorganizes and Sets This Year's Program

The Marion County Fair Board has reorganized following recent deaths and has set this year's fair grandstand entertainment.

Doug Telford has been elected President of the Fair Board for this year. Dave Sullens will be Vice President. Kirk Wilkins will serve in the dual role of treasurer and acting secretary. Terry Mulvaney will return as interim assistant secretary.

The Fair Week this year will be Sunday, July 29th, through Sunday, August 5th.

Changes include a new rodeo, Whippoorwill, on Wednesday, August 1st. The talent show will return to the grandstand after several years absence on Thursday night.

The fair will open with the traditional Moto Cross on Sunday, July 29th. The ITPA Tractor Pull will be held on Monday, July 30th. The Queen and Little Miss Pageant are set for Tuesday, July 31st. The fair concludes with the Demo Derby on Friday, August 3rd, the NTPA Grand National Event Pull on Saturday, August 4th, and the Horse Pull on Sunday, August 5th.

The Little Egypt Shows Carnival will return to the Midway. Armbands will once again be available this year for $20.00 per night.
