Centralia and Central City Put Snow Emergency Road Plan Into Effect at 6 Monday Night
Ordinance Bans Parking on Major Roads While Snow Emergency Is In Effect

Due to the expected ice and snow accumulation Monday night through Tuesday night, the City of Centralia and Central City have implemented its snow route emergency plan effective at six Monday night through noon on Wednesday.

A snow emergency simply means that residents should not park their vehicles on the following streets, but rather park in the alley or in their driveway.

In Central City, no parking is allowed on Commercial or Broadway.

In Centralia, the streets included in the no parking zones are:

Poplar Street

Elm Street

McCord Street

One Way Section of Noleman Street

Broadway Street

Pleasant Avenue

Rexford Avenue from Pleasant to Poplar

Locust from Rhodes to 17th

Gragg Street

Lincoln from Gragg to 14th

Hickory Street

10th Street from Hickory to Brookside

Brookside from 7th to Broadway

Brooks Avenue from Broadway to McCord

7th Street from 4th to Brookside

4th Street from 7th to Brookside

5th Street from Brookside to Elm

Calumet Street

Country Club Road

Airport Road

4th Street from Lincoln to to Locust

2nd Street from McCord to Locust

Frazier from Pleasant to Lincoln

7th Street from Poplar to Lincoln

13th Street from Lincoln to Locust

Martin Luther King from Pleasant to Lincoln

Perrine Avenue from 2nd to 4th

Failure to comply with the snow emergency could mean that your vehicle will be towed and you will be issued an ordinance violation ticket in the amount of $150.
