Rural Carlyle Man Injured When Vehicle Flips Over on Its Top on Felton Road Southwest of Sandoval

Rural roads and secondary roads in the cities that have been untreated since the Thursday night ice and sleet storm have become extremely slick in places as a result of being in the sunlight Saturday.

At least one of the crashes has had injuries.

Clinton County Sheriff's Deputies say Mark Ade of the Huey-Hoffman Road in Carlyle flipped his vehicle on its top while traveling on the Felton Road a mile west of the Jolliff Bridge Road southwest of Sandoval Sunday morning. Ade was able to get out of the vehicle on his own. He was taken to SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia by Sandoval Ambulance for treatment of apparent minor injuries. Deputies say there were no passengers with Ade. The crash occurred around 11 Sunday morning.

The Marion County Sheriff's Department reports no injuries in a single-vehicle crash on North Copple Lane near the east edge of Walnut Hill. Initial information indicates the vehicle hit a utility pole. Reports are not yet completed.

The Sheriff's Department reports another car slid off the road on U.S. 50 and Kirby Road near Iuka. There was no one around the vehicle, but no one appeared to have been injured.
