16-Year-Old Was One of Two Shot in the Incident

A 16-year-old Centralia juvenile boy who was shot during a July 30th home invasion has now become the third to be arrested in connection with the case.

Centralia Police picked up the juvenile on Friday for alleged home invasion, aggravated robbery, and aggravated discharge of a firearm. He was initially taken to the Marion County Jail and then ordered detained at the Franklin County Juvenile detention center pending a first appearance in Marion County Court on Monday.

Centralia Police believe four people entered the home in the 900 block of East Broadway late on the evening of July 30th. One of the residents fired at the group after their entered the home. All four fled before Centralia Police arrived.

A 22-year-old Central City man and the 16-year-old juvenile both were initially treated at St. Mary's Hospital before being transferred to St. Louis hospitals. Both have since been released.

The two others earlier charged in the case were 19-year-old James Powers of Arbor Lane in Centralia and 18-year-old Bryce Bradley of Belleville and formerly of Centralia. They were both charged with residential burglary, home invasion and aggravated discharge of a firearm.
