The Bryan-Bennett Library Board has received a handcrafted table created from wood salvaged from the floor of the the former Illinois National Guard Armory.

The table was made by retired guard member Mark Howe.

Special legs on the table depict the emblems of the Guard unit in Salem.

The table, which is on display in the main circulation area of Bryan-Bennett Library, is a tribute to the men and women who served this country as a part of the Salem National Guard Unit.
