Centralia High School Teacher Arrested on Drug Charges
James White Has Taught Social Studies the Past 30 Years

A 63-year-old Centralia High School social studies teacher has been arrested by Clinton County Sheriff's Deputies on drug charges.

James White of East 4th Street in Centralia was formally charged in Clinton County Court Monday with possession of 10 to 30 grams of cannabis and possession of a controlled substance.

White was denied appointment of the public defender and was later released after posting $1,000 cash bond. A status hearing in the case is set for July 24th.

Centralia High School Superintendent Chuck Lane confirms White has taught at the high school the past 30 years.
