Frontrow: Billie Martin (mother of theme contest winner), Natalie Ann Poninski (theme contest winner), Jackie "Butch" Mathus (Centralia Halloween Parade & Fall Festival President), Tracy Francois (Fall Festival Co-chairperson), Michael Young (Co-Chairperson & Treasurer), Norm Smith Vendor Chairperson), Steffany Slininger (Former Co-Chairperson), Hugh Moran (Former Co-Chairperson & Marshal Chairperson)

The theme of the 91st Annual Centralia Halloween Parade and Fall Festival is "Animals Bring Happiness."

Natalie Ann Poninski came up with this year's winning entry.

"I picked 'Animals Bring Happiness' because I love animals, they are just cute and pretty. I love them and they are precious."

Poninski is the daughter of Billie Martin and a student in Mrs. Cindy Kessler's class at Willow Grove Grade School. The entire class was treated to a pizza party by the parade committee.

Parade Chair Jackie 'Butch' Mathus says picking a winner was a tough choice.

"We had almost 200 entries that were submitted by area grade schools. It was a hard pick, because we had a lot of wonderful entries. After some consideration, Natalie's theme was picked,' said Mathus. "We look forward to it commemorating the 91st Annual Centralia Halloween Parade."

In addition to the pizza party, Poninski will be in one of the lead cars of the parade and will be recognized at the pre-party reception. She'll also get to paint this year's pumpkin design that will use to put on the pumpkins placed around downtown Centralia each October.

Pizza for the entire class! The Centralia Halloween and Fall Festival Committee brought along the food to make the official announcement on this year's theme.
