The Marion County Coroner's Office is currently investigating the death of a 31-year-old rural Salem woman as an apparent drug overdose.
Bethany Nollman was discovered by family members early Sunday morning in an apparent state of distress and EMS was summoned. EMS subsequently requested the services of the Coroner's Office and Nollman was officially pronounced deceased at the scene.
Evidence at the scene and circumstances of the death have led Coroner's Office Investigators to tentatively classify the death as an apparent heroin overdose. Biological samples will be submitted for toxicology testing to presumably confirm the cause of death.
