Marion County Board Approves Judge's Chamber Painting
The board approved the transfer of U.S. Sonet's infrastructure, permits and associated rights within Marion County to Wabash Independent Networks.

The Marion County Board has approved a $3,348 bid to Spackle and paint a portion of the third floor judges chamber. Resident Judge Mark Stedelin had made the request because portions of the chamber had not been painted for ten years and were showing wear and tear. One of the judges offices had been painted more recently and is not included in the work. he bid was awarded to Dave Mulvin Painting of Centralia.

The board approved the transfer of U.S. Sonet's infrastructure, permits and associated rights within Marion County to Wabash Independent Networks. The resolution also allows Wabash Independent Networks, Incorporated to offer the same services.

The board approved a $662,300 budget for summer road maintenance work by the county highway department. The annual salary of the highway engineer was set at $109,500 as dictated by the State Department of Transportation. Motor Fuel Tax Funds are used to pay the salary.
