12/1/09 @ 8:17:50 am

NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans Saints now have two things in common with the Indianapolis Colts.  Both teams are 11-and-0, with one victory coming against the New England Patriots in November.

The Saints closed out the month by blasting the Pats 38-17 Monday night.  Drew Brees was the difference on offense, throwing for a season-high 371 yards and five touchdowns.  Pierre Thomas, Devery Henderson, Robert Meachem, Darnell Dinkins and Marques Colston all caught scoring passes from Breese, who completed 18 of his 23 passes without an interception.

Tom Brady was hounded by the New Orleans defense all night while throwing for 237 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions.  The yeardage allowed Brady to become New England's all-time passing leader but failed to stop the Patriots from falling to 7-and-4.

The outcome gives the NFL a pair of 11-and-0 teams in the same season for the first time in league history.
