 Alden Ray Rush, age 60, a native of Centralia passed away on Sunday, August 28th in Battle Creek, Michigan. He retired from the United States Postal Service.

  Mary Davis, age 79, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on August 22, 2010 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN. Mary moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1952, was there for 55 years and then moved to Hendersonville, TN in January 2008. During her life she had three careers, Albuquerque Skill Center Administer, T.V.I of New Mexico, Unlimited City of Albuquerque Neighborhood Services and for the Mayor of City Hall in New Mexico.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, August 27 at 1:00 P.M. at the Hillcrest Lakeside Chapel in Centralia with Mike Sutherland officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association and will be received at the funeral home. Hillcrest Funeral Home and Cremation Center is in charge of local arrangements.
Mary is survived by her husband Robert Dean "Bob" Davis, three sons: Larry and wife Dorothy of Albuquerque, NM, Randal D.   Theda "Jane" Dice, age 87, of Salem, died August 8th, at her home. She was a retired employee of the State Department in Washington D.C. Jane was also involved with the First Baptist Church and Salem Township Hospital Auxiliary.
Funeral services for Jane Dice will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 14th in the chapel of the Rankin Funeral Home in Salem. Burial will follow at the Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. on Friday, and 10 a.m. until the service time on Saturday. Memorials can be made to the Salem Township Hospital Foundation, Gideon's International or the First Baptist Church of Salem and will be accepted by the funeral home.

 Braxton Lee Crain, the newborn son of Charles David Crain Junior and Kayla Nichole 'Krause' Crain of Salem, died Saturday morning at St. Mary's Hospital in St. Louis.
Graveside services for Braxton Lee Crain will be held at ten Saturday morning at Evergreen Cemetery in Kinmundy. There is no visitation. Memorials may be made to the family of Braxton Lee Crain.

 David R. Carter, 62, of Centralia, passed away at 6:08 p.m. on Monday, August 9, 2010 at his home. He was retired from Intier in Nashville where he was manager of the Shipping and Receiving Department and also a veteran of the U.S. Army.
A visitation to celebrate the life of David Carter will be from five until seven Friday night at the Garnier and Sons Funeral Home in Centralia. Services and interment will be private. Memorials in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society and will be received by the funeral home.
David Carter is survived by his wife Linda, four daughters: Heather Wangler and husband Dustin, Carrie Stone, Rhonda Ryan and husband Sean, Michelle Hardy and husband Randy, two sons: Mike Carter and wife Donna and Richard 'Tubby' Smith and wife Valeria, thirteen grandchildren: Brooke Smith, Stefani Smith, Haylee Smith, Mariah Stone, Erika Ryan, Kayla Ryan, Nicole Ryan, Tiffany Carter, Taylor Carter, Brandilynn Hardy, Destrian Doza, Colton Downs and was awaiting Addison May Wangler.   Boyce White, age 69, of Salem, died Friday, August 7th, at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham. He was a laborer at Egyptian Concrete for 45 years and was very involved in the church and the Food Pantry.
Funeral services for Boyce White will be held at two Tuesday afternoon at the Evergreen Christian Church in Salem. Burial in the 1880 Cemetery in Omega. Visitation will be from five to eight Monday evening at the Evergreen Christian Church. Memorials may be left to the Evergreen Christian Church Building Fund, and may be left at the Rogers-Atkins Funeral Home who is in charge of arrangements.

  Phillip G. White, age 62, of Centralia, passed away Sunday, August first, at St. Mary's/Good Samaritan Hospital in Centralia. He had a passion for card playing,, which he turned into a life long career. He formerly lived in Las Vegas, where he worked as a Card Dealer in the casinos. He moved back to Centralia four years ago and was employed at the Casino Queen as a Card Dealer.
A Celebration of Life visitation for Phillip G. White will be held from two until four on Monday at the Garnier and Sons Funeral Home in Centralia. Interment services will be held privately. Memorials in his memory may be made to his granddaughter, Syleena White, and will be accepted at the funeral home.

  Kay R. Nelson, 60 of Salem died Sunday, August 1, 2010 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. Kay was a homemaker, enjoyed crocheting and most of all she loved her family. She was a member of Pleasant View Free Will Baptist church of rural Walnut Hill and a Sunday School teachers assistant helping with the little children.
Services will be held Wednesday, August 4, 2010, 11:00am, at Hillcrest Lakeside Chapel with burial at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Friends may call from 10:00am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home. Hillcrest Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Centralia is assisting the family.
