The 2010 Marion County Fair and WJBD Radio Talent Contest lived up to it's name this year.

The competition saw seven entries in the Junior Division and four in the Senior Division. Several past winners also performed for the crowd. Winning the Junior Division was nine year-old Franklin Park Elementary School student Shaley Jourdan for her performance of the popular Mylie Cyrus song "The Climb." She says she picked one of her favorite songs. "I did a talent contest at school last year and I knew 'The Climb' good," she says. "My grandma thought I should do it, so I did!"

Taking second in the Junior Division was Quinlyn Renee Struckhoff, while Lex Finley took third. For the Senior Division, recent Patoka High School graduate Drew Baldridge wooed the judges - and some of the crowd with his rendition of Chris Young's "Getting You Home." He says he'd like to make a career out of singing. "I'm attending Kaskaskia College, but I'm going to try to go down to Nashville as much as I can and try to have a singing career," he says. "It's what I love to do, there's no feeling like it... it's amazing."Hannah Lowery was awarded second place in the Senior Division and Aspen Garrison took third.

Past winners performing for the event included Junior Division winners Ashlyn Williams and Grace Horton as well as Senior Division winner Ashlan Stephenson.
