Two Jailed After Drug Bust in Centralia
1/25/10 @ 7:07:37 pm

Two Centralia residents are in custody on multiple drug charges after a drug bust at their home Sunday night.

Centralia Police say they initially went to the home of 40-year-old Troy Scanlan and 25-year-old Camila Scanlan at 314 South Perrine after receiving a tip there was a meth lab inside.  Police say they didn't find a meth lab, but allegedly located 17 cannabis plants growing in a basement room along with a small greenhouse with spores being grown for hallucinogenic mushrooms. The State Police Meth Task Force was called to investigate the contents of two jars found in the home.  Police say they also recovered seven valium pills, cannabis seeds, 37 hypodermic syringes and several other items of drug paraphernalia.

The Scanlan's are being held in the Marion County Jail for alleged manufacture of delivery of a controlled substance, production of cannabis, possession of 30 to 500 grams of cannabis, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Police say Troy Scanlan agreed to let police search the home after telling them there was no meth lab, but some marijuana being grown for personal use.
