Rat's Magic Trick PKC World Champion Coon Hound

Handler Jeremy Kolleck with Rat's Magic Trick that won the PKC World Champion Coon Hunt early Sunday morning, earning $27,000 in the process.

 

With the end of the Super Stakes series and Baby Stakes comes the end of the final World Championship with a turnout of around 3,000 people and dogs. Many coon hunters thank the city of Salem, and its residents for opening up their hometown for them.

  

One 2009 champion rests comfortably with a $27,000 check. Hound, Rat’s Magic Trick, owned by Burkholder/Groves/Proulx and handled by Jeremy Kollek are the 2009 champions. This is owner, Steve Burkholder's first World Championship with 20 years of experience.  He is entirely grateful and would like to thank his partner Larry Proulx  and his family for being there for him.

 

2nd place takes home $12,000 which was hound, Two Goose Super Skid, owned by Creasy/Creasy and handled by Jake Brasher. 3rd place was Wipeout Zeb-3, owned by Brad Mitchell, and handled by Jeff Travis, with $8,000. Finally coming in 4th was hound, High Ridge Hickory, owned by Smith/Vogel/Cannon, and handled by Jack Coomer. They took home $5,000. 

Two Goose Super Skid handled by Jake Brasher took second place in the World Hunt.
 
Wipeout Zeb-3 and handler Jeff Travis took third place in the World Hunt.
High Ridge Hickory handled by Jack Coomer took fourth place in the World Hunt.
