• Kenneth W. "Kenny" Richardson, 71, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 3:00 P.M. April 19, 2018 at his residence. Kenny worked for many years as tire builder at Continental Tire in Mount Vernon. He was a former member of Hopewell United Methodist Church and served as a trustee at Hopewell Cemetery. Kenny’s greatest joy was spending time with his family. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

  • Fleta Neal, 96, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 3:52 P.M. April 17, 2018 at Mount Vernon Countryside Manor in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Fletabel was a Jefferson County Senior Saints. She was also a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Fletabel loved her family dearly and will be missed by all who knew her.

  • Rev. Harmon B. Mills Junior, 89, of Salem, IL died April 16, 2018, at the Twin Willow Nursing Center in Salem. Early in life, Harmon was a carpenter by trade. After surrendering to the ministry, he served as pastor of Chicota Baptist Church, Chicota, TX, followed by First Baptist Church-Addison, IL, and Smith Grove Baptist Church-Greenville, IL. He became Director of Missions for Kaskaskia Baptist Association from which he retired. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Salem. He served his country in the United State Army, dearly loved his family, and enjoyed the sport of fishing.
