Western All-Stars Take Third Straight from East, 143-138

Ronald Martinez/Getty Images(HOUSTON) --For the third straight year the Western Conference tops the East in the NBA All-Star game.

Kevin Durant scored a game high 30 points and Chris Paul had 20 and dished out 15 assists, taking home MVP honors, as the West defeated the East 143-138 Sunday night.

"It was unbelievable," Paul said to ESPN Radio after the game. "The energy was great. It was a good game. Third quarter we talked about picking up the intensity, I think Kobe definitely did that as everyone could see. This is a huge accomplishment."

Speaking of Kobe, he filled up the stat sheet nicely. Bryant scored nine points, dished out eight assists, grabbed four rebounds and blocked two shots including one on LeBron James.  That block led to a late slam dunk by Durant,  giving the West a 136-126 lead.

Carmelo Anthony scored 26 points while grabbing 12 rebounds and Dwyane Wade had 21 points and seven assists for the East in the loss.
