Vin Scully Honored
(Los Angeles, CA) -- Sports broadcasting legend VinScully is being handed another honor. The longtime Los Angeles Dodgers
announcer will receive the Bud Selig Executive Leadership Award at this year's
annual Professional Baseball Scouts Foundation's Spirit of the game gala
Saturday night in Los Angeles. Commissioner Selig himself will be on hand
to give the award to Scully. The charity event will also feature
appearances by ex-Dodgers manager Tommy Lasorda and actor Harrison Ford, who is
playing former Dodgers executive Branch Rickey in an upcoming biopic about
Jackie Robinson. Scully has been with the Dodgers since 1950 and was
inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame's broadcasters wing back in 1982.
