Shabazz creates a buzz in Brooklyn

UNDATED (AP) - Highly-touted UCLA freshman Shabazz Muhammad had a productive night in his first collegiate start.

Muhammad scored 20 points on 6-of-12 shooting in 28 minutes as the 11th-ranked Bruins bounced back from Monday's loss to Georgetown by downing Georgia 60-56 in the consolation game of the Legends Classic tournament in Brooklyn. Muhammad accounted for one-third of his team's points after scoring 15 off the bench in his college debut against the Hoyas.

Travis Wear finished with 10 points and eight rebounds for the 4-1 Bruins, who dropped the Bulldogs to 1-4.

In other top-25 action, No. 22 Cincinnati is 4-0 after Cashmere Wright scored a career-high 28 points in a 91-72 win over Campbell. Jaquon Parker set a season high with 21 points, and Sean Kilpatrick added 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Bearcats.
