NFL via Getty Images (PHILADELPHIA) -- Wide receiver Riley Cooper returned to the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday after a four-day excused absence to undergo sensitivity training.

Cooper left the team after a video surfaced last week of him yelling a racial slur at a Kenny Chesney concert earlier this summer.  He says he has spoken with each of his teammates individually about the incident and wants them to judge him for his future actions.

"I told them, 'I don't want you to forgive me, because that puts the burden on you. I want it all on me," he said.  "I told them that and I told them I apologize. They could tell it was from the heart, they know I'm not that kind of person. It feels good to have support from the guys."

Cooper's goal now is to earn the respect back from his teammates that he may have lost since the video surfaced, in addition to contributing to the team's thin receiving corps.

The Eagles open up their preseason against the New England Patriots Friday night.
