Report: Phil Hughes Signs with Twins

Al Bello/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- The Minnesota Twins and pitcher Phil Hughes have agreed a three-year, $24 million deal, according to a report by the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

Hughes spent seven seasons with the Yankees and went 56-50 with a 4.54 ERA and must pass a physical before the deal is official, reports the Star-Tribune.

Hughes was plagued by a bulging disk in his back to begin the 2013 season and went 4-14 with a 5.19 ERA.

His best season came in 2010 when he was 18-8 with a 4.19 ERA and 146 strikeouts.

Veteran pitcher Ricky Nolasco signed with the Twins on Wednesday, according to a baseball source.
