Report: Cavaliers Have Trade in Place for Kevin Love
(NEW YORK) -- Kevin Love will join LeBron James in Cleveland.
The Cavaliers and the Minnesota Timberwolves have an agreement in principle that will ship the All-Star for Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett, and a 2015 first-round pick, reports Yahoo! Sports.
Love will opt out of his contract in 2015 and re-sign with the Cavaliers on a five-year deal worth over $120 million, according to the report.
The Cavaliers drafted Wiggins with the No. 1 pick in this year's draft and he signed last week, which is why the deal can not be official until Aug. 23.
Love averaged 26.1 points and 12.5 rebounds per game, both top-5 in the NBA last year.
There will be a new big three in the Eastern Conference with Love, James, and All-Star guard Kyrie Irving, who averaged 20.8 points last season.
