Rays Place David Price On 15-Day DL
(ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.) -- Rays pitcher David Price was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a left triceps strain on Thursday.
Price was injured on Wednesday night and left in the third inning of the team's 9-2 loss to the Red Sox.
"It just felt (like) tightness," Price said after the game. "It wasn't like excruciating pain, but I've never felt anything like that before. My gut feeling, I feel OK right now. I don't think it's too bad."
Price is 1-4 with a 5.24 ERA in nine starts this season. The Rays have lost seven of his nine starts.
