Maple Leafs Sign Winnik to 1-Year Deal
(TORONTO) -- The Toronto Maple Leafs signed center Daniel Winnik to a one-year, $1.3 million contract on Monday.
The 29-year-old Winnik spent the last two seasons in Anaheim playing in 124 games, scoring 12 goals and dishing out 37 assists.
The 6-foot-2, 207 pound Winnik was a ninth round pick by the Coyotes in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. Since then, he has played for four teams recording 49 goals, and 101 assists while playing in 490 games.
