Luke Joeckel Signs with Jaguars
(JACKSONVILLE, Fla.) -- Offensive tackle Luke Joeckel signed his rookie contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday night.
The No. 2 overall pick in April's draft agreed to a four-year $21.2 million all-guaranteed deal also includes a $13,799,344 signing bonus, reports ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.
Joeckel played as a left tackle at Texas A&M, but will move to right tackle this season.
"I want to get on the field," Joeckel said last month. "I want to help my team win football games, whatever position it might be. If they wanted me to go play guard, I'd go play guard. I definitely would love to be a left tackle in the future, but whatever gets me on the field is what I'd do."
The Jaguars offensive line allowed 50 sacks last season.
