League cancels Winter Classic
11/3/2012 @ 6:43 AMANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) - With no end in sight to the NHL lockout, the league has decided to cancel the 2013 Winter Classic at the University of Michigan. The league says it will schedule its next Winter Classic in the Ann Arbor, Mich., stadium that seats more than 100,000 people. An Original Six matchup between the Red Wings and Maple Leafs had been slated for Jan. 1 at the Big House.
