L.A. Kings Defeat Canucks, 3-1 as Quick Returns
(LOS ANGELES) -- Kings goalie Jonathan Quick stopped 27 shots as Los Angeles (26-14-4; 56pts) iced the Vancouver Canucks (23-13-7; 53pts), 3-1 on Saturday night.
The Conn Smythe Trophy-winning goalie suited up in his first game since injuring his groin during a game against the Buffalo Sabres on Nov.12, an absence of 24-games.
Center Jeff Carter scored the go-ahead goal for Los Angeles at 12:05 into the third period, with an assist from forward Dwight King and center Anze Kopitar. Carter would later add his 15th goal with ten seconds remaining in the contest.
Vancouver is now on a three-game losing streak.
