Kevin Harvick Wins The Toyota Owner's 400
(RICHMOND, Va.) -- Kevin Harvick won the Toyota Owner's 400 on Saturday night at Richmond International Raceway.
Clint Bowyer came in second, while Joey Logano, Juan Pablo Montoya, and Jeff Burton rounded out the top five.
Montoya tried to hold off Harvick for his first win in three years, but a crash caused the caution to come out with four laps remaining.
The race was forced to go into two laps of overtime, when most of the drivers gave up their track position in exchange for new tires.
Harvick was in seventh for the final restart, but surged out of the gate for his 20th-career victory.
"I knew we had a chance because we were the second car on four tires," he said. "You never know what two tires is going to do on a high tire wear track so it all just opened up."
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series action resumes next week at Talladega.
