K State Eager for Fiesta Bowl Showdown
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Kansas State coach Bill Snyder spent his three years away from the program devising a plan for success in football and life. When he returned to the Wildcats, he had his philosophy firmed up into a thesis of sorts, calling it his "16 Goals for Success."
By setting goals like commitment, leadership and responsibility, Snyder pulled off the second program resurrection of his career. Orchestrator of one of the biggest turnarounds in college football history, the 73-year-old coach has led No. 7 Kansas State into one of the most anticipated bowl games of the season, against No. 5 Oregon in the Fiesta Bowl Thursday night.
Beat the Ducks and the Wildcats will have the first 12-win season in school history, capping another dramatic turnaround by Snyder.
