It's unanimous - Notre Dame's the 1NEW YORK (AP) - The football polls continue to smile on the Irish.
Notre Dame is the unanimous No. 1 team in the latest Associated Press college football poll following a 22-13 win over USC at Los Angeles on Saturday night.
The Fighting Irish claimed all 60 first-place votes after running their record to 12-0 and moving within one victory of their first national championship in 24 years.
Alabama remains No. 2 after their 49-0 rout of Auburn. Georgia sits third and will take on the Crimson Tide on Saturday for the SEC title and the right to face Notre Dame in the BCS title game. Notre Dame, Alabama and Georgia are also 1-2-3 in the new BCS standings.
