Heat Storm Back to Halt Pacers

Jed Jacobson/Getty Images(MIAMI) -- Down by seven with 3:10 left in the game, the Miami Heat went on a 10-0 run that was capped by a Ray Allen 3-pointer with 59 seconds left putting Miami up for good, as the Heat halted the Indiana Pacers 97-94 Wednesday.

Dwyane Wade led all scorers with 32 points and LeBron James, who almost didn't play due to a bad left ankle, had 24 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and three steals to lead the Heat (19-6) within a game of the Eastern-Conference leading Pacers (20-5).

"It shows we're a team that's been there before," Wade said of the comeback. "No matter what the score is we always feel we have an opportunity to win the game."

The Pacers started out strong and went into halftime with a 52-41 lead. Indiana increased its lead to 15 points in the third quarter, but Miami would finish the quarter on a 18-8 run to cut its deficit to five.

The Pacers and Heat matched each other almost step-for-step throughout the fourth before Miami went on its run.

Paul George had a chance to tie the game at the buzzer but his 3-pointer missed wide.

George finished with 25 points, eight rebounds, six assists and two steals in the loss.

The Heat have now evened the season-series with the Pacers at a game a piece.
