Graham Leads Saints Over Eagles, 26-24 in NFC wild-card game
(PHILADELPHIA) -- Saints kicker Shayne Graham nailed a 32-yard field goal with no time remaining to give New Orleans (12-5) a 26-24 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles (10-7) on Saturday night in the NFC wild card game.
Graham was four for four on field goals attempts, hitting from 36. 46, 35 and 32 yards. The Saints signed him on Dec. 17, 2013 to replace long-time kicker Garrett Hartley.
The Eagles took the lead with 4:54 to play in the fourth quarter when quarterback Nick Foles connected with tight-end Zach Ertz on a three-yard touchdown. The Saints came marching back, led by quarterback Drew Brees, who directed a ten play, 35 yard drive down to Philadelphia’s 14 yard line, leading to Graham’s game-winner.
