Giants Win Fourth-Straight

Scott Boehm/Getty Images(EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J) -- The New York Giants are officially on a roll.

After losing their first six games of the season, the Giants won their fourth-straight beating the banged up Green Bay Packers Sunday 27-13.

In the fourth quarter with New York up 20-13, Giants defensive tackle Jason Pierre-Paul, who was questionable going into the game with a shoulder injury, intercepted Scott Tolzien's pass and took it 24 yards for the score.

"That was a huge play," Giants head coach Tom Coughlin said, "And it was exciting. And then when he ran in the end zone and the points clicked up on the board, you knew, in a game like this, that would be huge."

It was, as the Packers never advanced the ball past Giants' 34 after that.

Tolzien made his first career NFL start in place of the injured Aaron Rodgers. The third-year quarterback out of Wisconsin completed 24 of 34 passes for 339 yards, but threw three interceptions, including two in the fourth quarter for the Packers (5-5).

Victor Cruz had eight catches for 110 yards in the win.

"It’s great to get a W, especially at home where we want to protect ourselves and our home field," Cruz said. "I think we played a good game. Overall we played a really good game. I’m excited to get number four and on to the next one."

Which is next week at home against Dallas (5-5).

The win puts the Giants (4-6) a game-and-a-half behind Philadelphia (6-5) for first place in the NFC East.
