Emotional Lance Armstrong Comes Clean with Oprah
George Burns/Oprah Winfrey Network via Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- The truth is officially out about cyclist Lance Armstrong. In an interview with Oprah Winfrey that aired Thursday, the 41-year-old Armstrong admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs.
"I view this situation as one big lie that I repeated a lot of times," Armstrong told Winfrey.
Armstrong was stripped by the IOC of the bronze medal that he won in the 2000 Sydney Summer Games prior to the interview airing on OWN. The second part of the interview will air Friday.
Armstrong had his seven Tour de France titles taken away by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency and was banned from the sport back in October.
