(GREEN BAY, Wis.) -- After 14 seasons in the NFL, wide receiver Donald Driver officially announced his retirement on Wednesday.

Driver was surrounded by the Packers faithful, who waited in sub-zero temperature to wish him farewell.

"It's truly something special, I love you guys, it's been an awesome ride, now it's time for the next chapter," Driver said.

The four-time Pro Bowler leaves as the Packers all-time leader in receptions and receiving yards.

"The most thing I'm going to miss is running out of that tunnel and 70,000 fans cheering you on every time you catch a ball, you make a block, their screaming your name," Driver said.  "That's what I'm going to miss."

Driver was a member of the Super Bowl XLV championship team that beat the Steelers in 2011.

"We always say that's the greatest milestone is to make it to the National Football League and win a Super Bowl ring," an emotional Driver said.  "I'll never forget that moment running out of that tunnel."

Driver was taken in the seventh round of the 1999 NFL Draft by the Packers and only Brett Favre played more games in a Green Bay uniform.
