(MELBOURNE, Australia) -- Novak Djokovic defeated Andy Murray 6-7 (2), 7-6 (3), 6-3, 6-2 Sunday, winning his third straight Australian Open.

"What a joy," Djokovic said during the trophy ceremony. "It's an incredible feeling winning this trophy once more. It's definitely my favorite Grand Slam, my most successful Grand Slam. I love this court."

Djokovic becomes the first man in the Open era to win three straight Australian Open titles. He now has won six major titles including four at Melbourne park, where he is undefeated in 21 matches.

The loss was Andy Murray's third in the Australian Open final.
