Derrick Rose Excited About Bulls' Chemistry and Roster
(NEW YORK) -- With the 2013-2014 NBA season on the horizon, some may be overlooking the Chicago Bulls. Point guard Derrick Rose thinks the team can contend not just because of the their strong roster, but their chemistry as well.
"I think we're up there," Rose said. "We really didn't make any big moves like some teams but with the chemistry that we have, I think in the sport of basketball that can take you pretty far. Some of those teams that you named are just getting guys, and you've got to get familiar with playing with a teammate."
Rose missed the entire 2012-2013 season after tearing his ACL during the playoffs the previous season. While he was medically cleared to return during the season, he thought it'd be best to sit the whole season out.
Without Rose last season, the Bulls still won 45 games and were the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference.
When healthy, Rose is one of the best players in the NBA. He last averaged 21.8 points and 7.9 assists per game during the 2011-2012 season.
