(MONTREAL) -- Montreal Canadiens winger Max Pacioretty underwent emergency appendectomy surgery Saturday evening and will miss the next three-to-four weeks.
The 24-year-old has four assists in three games this season, while leading the team with 10 shots on goal.
In 2011-12, Pacioretty had a breakout season scoring 33 goals and dishing out 32 assists in 79 games.
Montreal is already playing without young defenseman P.K. Subban, who is holding out for a new contract.
