Avalanche Sign Varlamov to 5-Year Extension
(DENVER) -- The Colorado Avalanche signed goalie Semyon Varlamov to a five-year contract extension that keeps him with the Avalanche through the 2018-19 season, the team announced Thursday.
According to the Denver Post, the contract is worth $29.5 million and comes with a $5.9 million cap hit.
Varlamov, a former first round pick of Washington, is 26-9-5 with a 2.43 goals-against average and a .925 save percentage this season.
