Military Aircraft Crashes in Arizona
(SACATON, Ariz.) -- A military aircraft from the Yuma Marine Base crashed near the Gila River Indian Reservation on Friday afternoon.
The plane is an AV-8B Harrier from the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma. The pilot reportedly experienced engine failure and ejected from the plane safely. The pilot was not injured.
The plane crashed to the ground in an unpopulated area near Sacaton, Ariz., south of Phoenix.
No other details regarding the circumstances of the crash were immediately available.
