Girl Found Dead in Houston Hotel Room Hours After High School Prom
(HOUSTON) -- Police in Houston are investigating the death of a 17-year-old high school girl after her body was found in a hotel room hours after prom.
Investigators say Jacqueline Gomez and her boyfriend booked a room at the Hyatt Hotel, which also was the location of the MacArthur High School prom.
Gomez's boyfriend reportedly called 911 after he realized she wasn't breathing.
Houston Police Detective Mike Miller says officials do not believe Gomez's boyfriend contributed to the death.
"There was indication that there was alcohol in the room. Of course prescription painkillers is something we're looking at as well," Miller said.
