Firework Kills Michigan Man After Hitting Him in Chest
(DETROIT) -- A 44-year-old Detroit man was killed by a firework while celebrating the Fourth of July.
The man was lighting fireworks outside of his home on the west side of Detroit when one of them flew directly at him, police told ABC News affiliate WXYZ-TV.
Officials said the firework hit him the in chest and exploded, killing him. He wasn't immediately identified.
It's unclear what caused the firework to malfunction.
