Coroner Releases Report on TSA Officer Killed at LAX
(LOS ANGELES) -- The TSA officer who died during a shooting earlier this month at Los Angeles International Airport was shot 12 times and died within two to five minutes after he was wounded, according to the autopsy report obtained by ABC News.
The LA County coroner Friday released its final report -- a 22-page document -- that said 39-year-old TSA officer Gerardo Hernandez died with 40 bullet fragments inside his body.
The autopsy report also states the suspect Paul Ciancia had a plane ticket on him. The FBI and coroner confirm that was incorrect and based on initial erroneous information.
