Trinity Royals Advance to State Tourney

Centralia Trinity is headed to the SIJHSAA Class S State

Tournament after defeating Selmaville 51-41 in the Region 13 championship

Monday night.

The Trinity Royals led 24-23 at halftime but pulled away as the

game went on. Peyton Long led Trinity with 17 points and Xavier Ludwig tallied

12 for the Royals, who improve to 23-2. Zack Consolino had a game-high 22

points for the Rockets.

The Royals will face Giant City Saturday morning at

9:30 in the first round of the state tournament at Rend Lake College.
